Caseworker
CASEWORKER
Jefferson County Department of Social Services is seeking caseworkers to provide social work services for individuals, families, & children, to assist with resolving economic, medical, emotional, social, and environmental challenges. Civil Service exam required for permanent appointment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four year college or university with a bachelor's degree; or
- Licensure as a registered professional nurse with one year of full-time, paid experience in that profession.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Appointees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet the transportation needs of the job.
Background Investigation:
Applicants may be required to undergo a State and national criminal history background investigation to determine suitability for appointment. Failure to meet the standards for the background investigation may result in disqualification.
Salary: $26.92 - $33.71/hr. (2024 rate)
